- The purpose of an ethics framework is a step-by-step, fair process to help guide staff in working through ethical issues encountered in delivery of healthcare.
- The use of the framework can help individuals, teams or communities to work through an ethical issue. It can help a team work together by introducing a shared systemic process, facilitating effective communication, developing a shared language, and building a common understanding of how to approach difficult ethical issues.
Ethics Committee
- Ethics Committee is in place to provide direction for ethical practice, education and research at KCC. The committee provides a forum for the discussion of ethical issues.
